Everyone on the face of this planet has something that makes them tick. Something that can determine how their day goes before it's even began.
I would venture to say the majority of you are thinking coffee. If no one is then I know I didn't do a good enough job of describing this thing. It's bigger than coffee though, so maybe I actually described it right, but expected people to think more along the lines I was when I was writing this thing (Not that I'm really a fan of coffee).
What I'm talking about here is something greater than coffee. I'm going to stop trying to explain it because, maybe, for some of you, it really is coffee.
Anyway, I've recently realized that I am strangely connected to the state of my laptop. I assume that this could also carry over to other electronics (PS3, DS, and any video game I'm currently playing (Primarily Fire Emblem)).
My laptop recently started telling me that my copy of Windows was not genuine. ACK!
It is, I promise, unless Dell has a pirated version of Windows that they give out to people. That's their problem not mine.
So, it got really annoying, and Windows started acting up more and more as time went on, and I couldn't update it at all, which was beginning to bother me. I called Microsoft, and Dell, and tried using my Google influence* to get something done. In the end, I had to put up with a crappy resolution on my laptop for the weekend, while I got an external hard drive, and copied my stuff over.
In that time, I gathered a pile of books and stuff on my bed, that I've had to move every time I decided to finally go to sleep. I've been uber spacey and not wanting to work but just get out and explore. I even texted Brian the other day, telling him how much I wished he was here so we could get in my car and just explore the deep unknown that is Austin.
Today, I finally called Dell back to talk about re-installing Windows on my laptop, but ended up just reverting back to Factory Defaults.
I have since spent my time copying files back over, re-installing vital programs like Chrome, and Trillian, sitting in Jester East while Jester West got evacuated on my way back, and all around trying to focus on homework but just getting distracted by fixing this bad boy.
After this blog, I finish Calc, and finalize the file copying, and then from there my laptop is new again. Learning new things about what I do with it, and adapting.
That's how I see it anyway. =D
Love you guys, and I'll get back to ya later!
